Trust me, I (many times) do an eye roll myself when the punctuation/spelling/grammar 'police' pipe up.
But, when asking questions and expecting beneficial answers, it is simple self interest to make your question readable.

Making yourself look like a pillock greatly diminishes the chances of actually getting proper answers....
What the hell ever this forum should be closed anyways pointless to even ask anything from anybody instead they total communists that do nothing but hate on people on here for whatever damn reason they should just shut radio reference down then if people can't use the forms correctly because apparently the grammar police like to come out and screw with everyone i'll have a word with the CEO of this website and see what I can do!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely right. Perhaps, though, it would be better to send a PM to that person rather than calling him/her out on the open forum.

The OP should just send the radio to Uniden to be repaired or wait until he has the funds to do so. Assuming he still needs a scanner, he will not be able to replace that radio for the $100 or so repair fee/shipping.
