Today I turned on my scanner and noticed it had no signal on anything (trunked systems, conventional, etc) so I switched antennas and tried listening to weather channels but still nothing. This is so strange it was working fine the other day the battery is fully charged and everything is normal it wasn’t damaged or anything so any recommendations or advice is welcome.

Bought one that had no signal, Uniden charged $79.99 and they replaced the logic board + rotary knob that was broken too. Worked like new once I got it back. Bought it as a 4 scanner group sold as is on ebay .. got lucky none were DOA

Did you leave the scanner in your car in the direct sun light?
Sounds like the Cold Solder Joint problem.
Nope it’s been inside the whole time I probably have to send it back to get fixed which sucks because that takes like a whole month and by the way what is a cold solder joint problem I’ve heard of that before.

Mine took less than 2 weeks from L.A to Texas to get it repaired and shipped back. You do have to ship it to them yourself I used USPS flat rate priority and Uniden ships back with FedEx
Yeah I’ve done it before because the antenna jack was broken I live in south Texas so it doesn’t take long to get up to flower mound.

A cold solder joint is where the solder did not properly melt and bond to the component or circuit board. Results in a weak, uneven, and potentially unreliable connection. Some times it will work, sometimes it wont.

So your antenna jack was broken before and now it doesn't receive anything. Sounds like you may be rough on the antenna. Do you swap antennas often or have you dropped it lately?

Looks like this may be a repeat issue for the OP:

Did you set the squelch to zero and see if it stops scanning on a conventional channel?

I’m not rough on it and it hasn’t been dropped at all lately

And you did test the radios reception when you received it back from Uniden, right?

Might be a memory card issue, perhaps a corrupted settings save.
