Can I use my 536HP GPS on my SDS200? If so, which port and what kind of adaptor?

Probably. I’d say it depends on which gps puck you have.

The SDS200 uses an RJ-11 (I think, either way it’s a landline phone plug) to connect to gps. Jack is on back of 200.

This GPS is Uniden and came with a BCD536HP. It has a large USB connector.

Uniden has at least two different models. As part of the cabling do you have a phone plug connector?

No, I do not have a phone type connector-adaptor.

I had the round puck from Uniden for my SDS100. When I bought an SDS200, I found myself in same situation as you. There may be a cable adapter that you can buy or make, but I just bought the newer rectangular puck from Uniden that had proper cable.

Others might have better (more economical) suggestions for you.

If you bought the Uniden kit, with all shown here, then you should be able to.

If you just bought gps for the 536, then you need to get something to end up with a rj 11.

The GPS that I have came with the 536. I do not have that nice kit.
What is the advantage to using GPS with a Uniden scanner?

Only advantage is if you travel with the scanner, and use gps, it can load stuff to listen to based on what service types you select. Works with full database and favorites lists.

If your only using it at home, all gps is going to do pretty much the same as entering in your zip code.

The 536 did not include GPS, but it did come with a WiFi dongle. Is that what you were referring to?

It is a BC-WF1. Very dim engraving on back. Thanks for helping.
