No priority on.

Want to see a comparison between SDS200, BCD536 and BCD996 on an Motorola Smartzone 5-site simulcast system? The SDS200 does seem to perform better than older scanners, but still not as good as the off-camera Motorola...

One thing to note - your scanners are doing ID Searching, and not ID Scanning. It would be interesting to see how they perform head to head doing a scan.

I'll work on getting a video, but it looks about the same. I've not usually seen much performance difference scanning vs searching on a trunked system - especially when held on a particular group list.

It's a direct copy of the SDS100 firmware and then things added like the network, considering the "Batt:" on the display?

Most likely it will read out the battery level when hooked up to a 12v auto source.

Ordered from Ham Station and was lucky to live in an area that has Saturday residential delivery per the UPS driver. First impression...wow! Firmware was older version, and took care of that right away. Like others have said, can't register yet to try out DMR & NXDN but i'm sure that will get corrected soon. Different cable than the SDS 100. Firmware version is the same 1.07.04/1.02.00.

Not quite Utube literate enough to do a video. But, I finally got to set up my SDS200 this evening.
It seems to be right on par with my SDS100 (both of them) which seem to do a fine job compared to
my 536 and 436. For one thing, the audio on the SDS200 and SDS100 both seem to have clearer audio.
I had thoughts of putting this radio in my 18 wheeler. But, it's a beast in size. So, probably one of the SDS100's
will get the job.

I've been giving my SDS 200 a good test run this afternoon and this evening (minus MotoTRBO/DMR/NXDN) and have had some very positive results. It took the place of my 536hp in my set up, but the 536 has been assigned other duties..lol. Using an outdoor antenna and external speaker as I did with my 536.

P25 simulcast has been on par with the SDS 100 and have no complaints. You will get the occasional garble on both units but you know you're hearing the same thing when the users complain "you went digital".

I have a lot of analog to compare locally..UHF/UHF-T/VHF/ VHF Railroad/AM Air Band was compared to my 536 this afternoon and tonight. Some of the "troublesome" reception issues were resolved by utilizing the filters and reception on a few of these frequencies has improved drastically with the SDS 200. That was an unexpected plus! I've set everything on Off/Global and when something didn't sound good, I used the filter settings.

So far...very happy here in Chicago!

That's what I like to hear, it's a hefty scanner. A 'beast in size' is what I was hoping for! By the looks of it by the 536, it seems to be about the size of a Pro-2035 which is great. My tracking shows tomorrow, so I will soon satisfy my curiosity! Thanks for the comments, Trucker! If it's too big for a big truck, then it's big enough for me ;)

What do you mean by filter settings? You have to fine tune each individual frequency through the software? I listen to a lot of analog so that definitely needs to work for me.

I believe they are referring to what was discussed in this thread about the latest firmware update for these scanners. There are filter settings available now:

Yes I was. Sorry, I didn't respond right away but was enjoying the balmy weather. In the latest firmware version (1.07.04) you can set filters to eliminate interference on analog frequencies. So on a couple of analog frequencies that I received some intermod on my 536, I had the same interference on my SDS200 until I turned the filters on those certain frequencies. It's very handy and now the intermod is eliminated and clear audio is being heard.
