Can I say WOWSA? This thing is a monster, and I'm having a hard time getting it to do what I need it to do. Any help?

So the thing was received pre-programmed with 5 different favorite lists. I've added "cleaned up" versions of the desired favorite lists. I am NOT monitoring the original lists....only the ones I created. But I don't want to scan ALL the lists at once, so I have FLQK's setup for each list. However, when I turn the thing on and select the desired QC, the thing tells me "nothing to scan", and it turns off all 5 of the lists I had previously set to monitor!

So the desire is to K.I.S.S., and allow for the selection of the desired favorites list. How do I do that?

What month is it?
Check your service types.
Most common mistake with these radios.

2nd would be location control.
If location control is set to on in any of the favs - and the GPS cordinates are incorrect (the radio thinks it's somewhere else), it will not monitor correctly.

If these are checked and still no joy, get back to us.

Oh... just a comment. I advise never to pay for programming. With the full RR database being free to the 100/200 owner via Sentinel, why pay for it? (IMO)

I'd suggest perusing the easier to read manual to gain a basic understanding of the SDS200 & its functions. You may also want to search this forum utilizing the "SDS200" prefix to divulge threads with questions and feedback from other posters that may have been answered here already. Youtube also has a plethora of tutorial videos which may answer some of your questions

In the profile editor, make sure that both Download and Monitor are ON for all of the favorites lists you wish to monitor before writing to scanner. Download sends the list to the scanner. Monitor enables it to scan.

Instead of the QK, go into the scanner menu and select "Set Scan Selection" and then "Select Lists to Monitor"

If Monitor is On in the profile editor, you don't need to go into the scanner menus. Just press the favorites list quick key number followed by E to toggle it on and off.

Are you loading the favorites lists?

Under Set Scan Selection, have you selected any

If Monitor is On for a favorites list in the profile editor when you write a favorites list to the scanner, there is no need to check scan selection. The favorites list will already be enabled. If Download is Off, the favorites list will not appear in the scanner.

I had a similar issue. I had monitor on, but download off.
And couldnt hear anything. It took me a bit to realize my mistake, lol

I would definitely would doublecheck to make sure the download is ON

I believe you have those values reversed in your statement. If you set download off, monitor will also switch off. And if you switch monitor on, then download will also be set on.

Can you please clarify exactly what's happening as people think that your lists are not downloaded?

You power on your scanner and it scans all your favorite lists. But you only want to scan one list and push a QK to deselect one list but then all lists are turned off and you get "Nothing to scan"?

Do each favorite list have their own unique QK number and what happens when you go into the scanner menu and deselect one of the lists from there?
