Never had an issue using the operating system's built in formatter.
How do you *physically* change the card? Must you remove the cover and go inside? Is it obvious how to swap?Buy new SD card (no larger than 32GB), Format card with Windows, in Sentinel go to Scanner -> Clear User Data. Write your favorites to the scanner with the new card in the scanner and you will be all set. Not too difficult, IMHO.
Uniden SDS200 Changing Your SD CardHow do you *physically* change the card? Must you remove the cover and go inside? Is it obvious how to swap?
I need to add to my progress.I am having the very same issue. This has happened 3 times (sds200) and I'll try a new sd card and see if it corrects.
I have a 536 and the new sds150 and haven't had this problem.
What I have seen people doing with that SDS200 issues are that they have sent in their scanners and Uniden swap out the whole circuit board.Any suggestions or should this be a call to Uniden?
A long shot - what is squelch set to? Is it set to 2?Any suggestions or should this be a call to Uniden?
Well that's what I was afraid of since this is a used scanner that I bought. I sent a tech request in to Uniden and I'm waiting on a reply. What I have seen people doing with that SDS200 issues are that they have sent in their scanners and Uniden swap out the whole circuit board.

Yes I have it set to 2. Changing it to 0 doesn't break squelch.A long shot - what is squelch set to? Is it set to 2?
Yes right out of the box, I did clear user data, then updated the database and firmware. Then I added my favorites from Proscan after quitting Sentinel. I just did a full format on the microSD card with the sdcard.org formatter (using my SD card reader) and then went to Sentinel, clear user data. Then I ejected it and put it in the scanner where I put my favorites back from Proscan. Then I had to select my active lists again and made sure all the service types I wanted were on, oh and I had to re-enter my zip code since a lot of my favorite lists are location based.Did you update the Firmware?

We will see, I will leave it running continuously but basically I set it up Thursday night, listened to it all day yesterday it was fine. Today I wasn't home so I had my SDS150 with me but when I got home I noticed the SDS200 was very quiet, it looked like it was scanning normally it just wasn't stopping on anything, so I turned on the SDS150 and immediately was receiving transmissions, I remembered reading this thread so I restarted the SDS200 and it started picking stuff up right away. According to Proscan history log it had not received anything since about 11pm yesterday
What specific "reset" did you do? Replace the SD card?Just an update after I did the reset mentioned above, so far so good no issues.

So, after a couple weeks of troubleshooting with Uniden, I am still without an answer to share. It did seem to help to disconnect the network cable from the radio but that is not the way I utilize my SDS200.Well, sorry to say that even with the new SD card in my SDS 200, it is back to the same old problem of silence from the scanner. Some are suggesting the radio needs to go back to Uniden. Bummer! I will reach out to them and see what they say.
