Is there are way to search for channels within Sentinel using a department/companies name or keywords? One example is that HEMS (air medical services) are listed in under Industrial Communications and Electronics for some companies and under emergency communications in other areas. Some are also under the county and others are listed under statewide. I would love to be able to search for Boston MedFlight or Airlift Northwest. Thanks

Not within Sentinel. Unless you are asking about what you've already programmed. Sentinel is the scanner programming software program for your computer. It uses RadioReference.com, a frequency/agency database from which you choose what to program into your scanner. It also saves a copy of your programming on your computer as a backup.

There is another database that covers the Boston Ma. area called Scan New England where Boston Med Flight is listed and a simple Google search for “Boston Med Flight” would have pulled it up for you.

Thanks. This is what I was gathering, but didn't know if I wasn't seeing some menu or shortcut. Unfortunate, it seems like an easy function, but I know nothing about computer programming.
I have all the frequencies but it is so easy to just click add vs having to enter all the frequencies and IDs manually.

If you go to C:\ProgramData\Uniden\BCDx36_Sentinel\Database you will find a file called MasterHpdb.hp1
Open that file using Excel or the compatible free program OpenOffice Calc and select a tab delimited format.
Now you have all the records from the database and can do searches.

When you find a record you scroll upwards to see what department and site its located at, or county id or state id, that you have references to at the beginning of the file. With that info you can then easily use Sentinel to go to those locations and add them to a favorite file.
