Hello, I currently wear 2 different earpieces (over-the-ear) to listen to 2 different receivers, one on each ear.

I am seeking a regular looking headset (over the HEAD) with foam-type pads, like a classic stereo listening headset, BUT bluetooth accepting and the left and right are independent listening devices. Yes, as crazy as it sounds, I want to (attempt to) listen to 4 devices at at time.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? It's hard to describe with terms on a search engine/store page, still brings up anything and everything.

I have also looking (and have bought devices) at mixers to attempt this by other methods.

There are discussions about various mixers and I had mentioned some inexpensive ROLLS model mixers which have a PAN adjustment for each channel. You can have 4 or more balanced inputs, adjust each channel/receiver to have a different spatial position on the "sound stage" left to right. You can plug in a stereo BT transmitter and use some standard BT earpieces or headphones to hear the effect. I am planning to do this in my mobile, but with two amplified speakers behind the driver and passenger side front seat positions.

I have done this with a Mini Stereo cable to L and R phono plugs with Phono to Mini Mono plugs plugged into the scanner and the Mini Stereo plug connected to a Bluetooth Transmitter result is a different scanner in each ear.

Keep in mind most scanners have a Bridge Tied Load (BTL) amplifier driving the speaker and they want to see a floating (balanced) load like a speaker or the primary of a transformer. If you simply use whatever adaptors mate up, you run the risk of shorting one of the amplifier transistors (usually in a pricey module) to ground. At best there will be hum and distortion, at worst will be smoke. The solution is professional mixer with balanced inputs. or an isolation transformer . Radio Shack used to sell a nice stereo HUM BUSTER isolation transformer that was useful for two receivers.

All bluetooth devices are stereo. Use those galvanic isolation transformers, they are stereo, and connect to two devices and connect the left and right output together from the transformer to form one channel. Do the same with two other devices. Set each of the four devices volume control to get the audio to be as equal as possible for all devices. Then connect the two remaining channels to your bluetooth transmitters two channels.

Get a couple of 3.5mm stereo cables male-male and cut one at half length and connect their plugs to the two stereo transformers output and cut another cable and wire all three together color to color. That third 3.5mm plug goes to your bluetooth transmitter. Depending of the configuration of your devices audio output you might need mono cables or stereo cables and then probably use adapters, or a stereo to two mono connectors cable, to be able to connect to the transformers stereo input jacks so that one device use left channel and the other device the right channel.
