AR-DV1 Selective Signalling Search Mode

When scanning or searching frequencies, if I want the AOR AR-DV1 to automatically search for CTCSS or DCS on analog and NAC Codes/Color Codes/RAN, etc on digital modes, do I simply select Auto/FM and 6 kHz bandwidth?

Do I need to enable CTCSS Search mode or is it automatic?

Hi,
My understanding from the manual (Section 10-5 and 10-6) is as follows.
CTCSS:
This function operates only in FM mode with less than 30 kHz of IF-BW.
Selecting “SRCH” will activate tone search function.
DCS:
This function operates only in the FM mode with less than 30 kHz of IF-BW.
Selecting “SRCH” will activate DCS search function.

I only use CTCSS and generally program the tones manually.

The CTCSS Tone search function works quite well..
A tip: if you want to play around with the settings/features without loosing your current settings.
Power up your DV1 and play with the settings, when you are finished DO NOT use the power button to shut down the DV1, instead switch off the supply to the DV1, now if you re-apply the power to the DV1 it will boot into your original power up configuration and your settings will not have been saved. To save your new settings, simply power off using the power button on the DV1..
