I just got the NXDN upgrade for my BCD436HP. I am lost in programming it for NXDN.

I want to make a favorites list for several Los Angeles NXDN sites like AAA, BNSF RR, City of Hope, Union Pacific RR, etc.

I have the NXDN search info for the area. There is an import tool to import it into Sentinel but I don't understand it. It says to copy the list into Clipboard.

How exactly do I selectively add several of the sites into SentineL

I know how to make favorites lists. Can I do it like this:

Los Angeles NXDN Sites List?

Then add a system name like NXDN. Then add departments like AAA, BNSF RR, City of Hope, Union Pacific RR, etc. and then add channels?

How do I import the Clipboard info into the lists? It looks like the formatting is different than Sentinel wants even though I have Sentinel checked.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge on NXDN and Sentinel.

Thanks, Bob.

If conventional frequencies, you have the option of creating a 'clipboard ready' set of data, formatted for Sentinel, using the Digital Frequency Search website.

Of course, that site will only show you who is licensed for DMR or NXDN, which means that it's likely some of the search results will be licensees authorized to use one of those formats, but not currently doing so.

First question, trunked or conventional?
Thanks. Here is an example of the NXDN search for the Auto Club at NXDN Frequency Search Results

I don't know if thy are conventional or trunked. That site says they can be imported into Sentinel but the import procedure does not work. Bob.

Thanks. I have not figured out the import feature. When I try pasting into Sentinel I get an error and the format is not what Sentinel wants. Bob.

One thing here; those marked with 'MO' are, I think, mobiles and you would need to be pretty close to hear them....Mike

Thanks. My question is how to program any of them in Sentinel for use on my BCD436Hp. Bob.

Take a look at the "Import Instructions" for Sentinel.

The attached file is for all NXDN licenses in LA County. These are in a format for a conventional system, Pull up the same export on the site for a breakdown of which are mobile frequencies (MO), and whether they are licensed as conventional or trunked.

You can extract the *.hpe file from the zipped, then import into Sentinel. Once in Sentinel, you can cut and paste channels into conventional systems, or into 'sites' for trunked systems.

Appears to be conventional, and is likely part of this system listed in the db.. (although authorized for NXDN, likely not using that emission)
