You are supposed to be able to uninstall and reinstall .NET by going into the Windows Features and unchecking both (and all) of the .NET entries; then reboot the system. After the reboot, then you go back to the Windows Features and turn back on all of the .NET features by putting back the checkmarks. That is supposed to cleanup and/or fix the software. That might be worth a try.
DudleyG, you win the prize!!! I followed your instructions to uninstall and re-install .NET and after .NET was re-installed, Sentinel 2.03 ran just fine with its original config file that I brought back from the recycle bin. Thanks again!!! Hopefully this information will be useful to others that find themselves in a similar situation with Sentinel (or any other program that uses .NET Framework).

just got an SDS200 and same issue, I cant even install Sentinel.
you bailed me out DudleyG !!! Thank you, using the Feature dialog worked for me by installing .Net v3.5

I don't like to hate, but radio manufacturers and software s*ck !!!
nothing like abandonware that won't run on the latest OS software.

The problem you experienced had nothing to do with Uniden and everything to do with Microsoft.

Yeah? well, pretty sure I don't agree.

I have .Net v6 installed ( I think 5 too ), so yeah, I expect the author to recompile their software, say once a year, to ensure it runs on the latest environment code base they claim to support. .Net v2 went out of support years back now. I only recall the change log for the Uniden junk having a single date posted, nice job dotting the i's guys !

There is nothing complex or exotic going on in the software, so the effort involved should be minimal.

Sorry fellas, I'm not impressed. They can do a better job supporting a $700 radio as far as I am concerned.
At least I learned something even though I would rather not have in this case.

Abandonware? Thats funny.
yup. I'll take credit for that term.

I have had too much experience on the job dealing with unmaintained software impacting projects that leadership considers critical to the organization.
