Not sure what happened.
Updated sentinel to Version 1.03 (revision 01)
And shows no new firmware update (trying for 1.05.01)
Currently the radio has 1.03.00 firmware.
When I connect USB and select mass storage it won't read from the scanner or write to it.
Was thinking a driver problem but the radio will ask to or charge from the pc,
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Tom

Thanks I have read all that.
My drivers appear to be recognized by windows and I never had to remove the card before.
But I guess there is a first time for everything.
I will try that and see what happens.
Thanks,

Well I removed the sd card and used a reader and it updated fine.
Still don't understand why I had to do that?
Thanks for your help.

99.99% chance it's seing the incorrect driver in device manager. Fact is, none needed , it should see it as a mass storage device.

Connect it,open device driver, find it, delete it.

That makes sense.
Is it possible that it's reading the driver for bcd325/996P2 used for freescan?

Thanks

Unlikely, as one is a mass storage device and the other is a USB-Serial converter.

Very likely it miss read drivers. I had to uninstall drivers for BCD325P2 to add the BCD436HP into the system, 2 weeks ago, after that I haven't had any problems. I purchased the BCD536HP first; I can't remember if I had to remove BCD536HP driver to get Windows to recognize the BCD325P2 (second). But I was surprised when the BCD436HP had a problem connecting. I have WINDOW 7 ULTIMATE 64bit and don't have driver problems, usually, because I'm admin all the time, UAC doesn't throw corruptions into things like lower end Window 7 and Vista systems do.

I agree about it the USB connection should work without any extra drivers being loaded. I tested on Windows 10 and 8.1 Desktops and the connection was made without problems.

However, I was trying to get it to work on a Dell AIO and the device was not being recognized. Possibly because of how the USB ports are set up, but I gave up on that system, I will probably need to change something in the bios to get it to work.

I should note, this problem system has been rolled back from Windows 10 and may have special problems in some areas.

I ended up resetting the USB Hubs in Device Manager and the link was recognized and worked normally after that.

I have seen situations with normal card readers which had been removed using the Save Removal, had left the system with an unresolved driver situation and needed to be rest.
