Pretty sure this is the best place to put this...

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions of services like the Incident Page Network?

Is that a scanner brand or a way to monitor traffic? I'm just curious how it is General Scanning since I'm not familiar with that service.
IPN is a service that sends alerts about PD, FD and EMS incidents. The incidents are reported by people listening to scanners.

15 years ago I was a member of IPN. It got to the point it was weeks without anything and to be honest knew about alot more before they did. I didn't even know they still existed.
They still exist today and I get many pages. It all depends where you live and how populated it is.

@seagravebuff60 I get a dislike because I never heard of the service and was asking what it was? Wow, guess lots of others in the forums who don't know about something should get thumbs down reactions too.

I got in contact with the "Breaking News Network", they advised me the police/fire buff plan is $39.95 monthly. They said I need to pay $156.44 for my first payment which includes "the first three months of service, activation, and taxes". The price is a little hefty , not sure if it's worth it...

I asked them for the last 5 incidents reported in my area to see if they have good coverage.

I've been an IPN (Incident Page Network) member for many years. They are $15.99 monthly and do a great job in the Chicago and metro suburbs. State, local, and county police, and some major disasters are put out many times before the national news covers it.

Yeah, that was about the same for me. Over time, I sent them a buch of incidents in my area and eventually i became a “dispatcher” for them, have been ever since. And since im a dispatcher its now free.

Im not to sure if the coverage near albany is that great but here in the Hudson Valley its pretty decent.

The BNN app, push notifications and webview are superior to IPN. Its much more of a CAD feal compared to IPNs bland web UI and text messages.

You can also get a membership package with the POCSAG/Flex pager. Unfortunately though the AMS tower for my county died in late 2016 and there is no Spok here.

Not meaning to split hairs here but technically there's no forum dedicated to paging services so where else would this thread go?
