Setting up offset meaning

Hi
I want to make sure I am programming this correctly
when I have something like this


Frequency Offset Tone Call Location ST/PR Use VOIP Mi Dir

443.7000 +5 MHz 100.0 VE2RHH Montreal, Ecole Polytechnique QC OPEN 2.3 WNW

so the first frequency is the receiving frequency = 443.7000
when offset +5MHZ , does that mean the transmitting frequency = 448.7000 ?

thanks for your help.
I am not sure if standard is they start with receiving frequency and the offset means the transmit and then how to use offset to figure out exact transmit frequency

1. Attend classes to lead toward an amateur radio license. Very well explained.
2. RTFM as most explain this clear unless you are still using the Baofeng or TYT.

If you're programming a scanner, you won't care about the offset. You're concern will be the receive frequency. If you're programming a transceiver, be careful. Most of what will probably be available on the radio will either require a license or will be off limits.
