I just got a Tripp Lite SS7415-15 16 Outlet 48" Strip. Definitely made power management easier. It can be seen in the background:

Wow...thats tight...question...
If you wanted too, are the sockets spaced out enough to put in ALL large plugs without any sockets going to waste? (By saying large plugs I mean the large adapters that usually cover up an outlet...)

I hope you can understand the question...lol...I barely can...

Yes I think that I understand what you are saying. The sockets are 2.717-inches on center. So if the adaptors are small, you can fit them all. The adaptors that I am using seemed small, however I cannot fit them all in consecutively. I had to skip some spaces in some instances. For some of those skipped spaces, I would be able to fit in a standard plug (say a lamp for example) however for some of the other skipped spaces, I could not fit in anything (the BC785D 13.8 V 700 ma adaptor is massive.) Although this is less than ideal, the strip fits perfectly into a 49" space on my desk. I have at the moment at least 5 open outlets for more stuff. having the strip on the desk allows me to add and remove stuff with less hassel than before, when everything was on three strips in a tangled rats nest behind and under the desk. A key part of this is the ability to plug in the laptop adaptor right on the desk, which allows for easy removalbiltiy, which I did not have before. I must add that one of the adaptors is reversed in direction with respect to the others to facilitate plugging it in. I thought about seeing if I could open the strip up, remove the receptacles, and rotate them 90 degrees so that all the wall worts would hang off the side, rather than be inline, but I dont want to mess with the thing now. Hope this answers your questions.

That is definitely a nice solution! I have something similar for all my computer related power requirements, that is plugged into an APC SmartUPS 1400, to provide back-up power.

For my radios, I recently chose the APC Per8T. It's designed with 8 outlets, or room for 6 power-packs. It has a power switch that controls 6 of the 8 outlets. The other 2 are on all the time. Now when I get a phone call, I hit the big switch!

Nice setup. I totally agree those are superb power strips. I've got a couple of them (6ft and 4ft models). They're nice because they hold those bulky power adapters without wasting plugs.

Not to make it rain, but I had an APC unit that was nearly identical in shape and function to that one; used it for 2 years on my computer and the master switch on the bottom recently gave out.

I use two of those also and love them. Hope to find another soon. Been using them for 4 years now. Very well made.

I'd be worried about using something like that. For instance the wires in your wall heating up too much from the current needed to run that. I guess you're not running any power tools, but I would still rather use a good proper APC Pro outlet.

breaker or fuse would "snap" long before you do anything to the wires in your wall, as long as its to code and your breaker is working properly....

Most of the radios are not on at the same time. The most I can listen to at once is about four. The strip itself is fused at 15 amps. I dont think I come close to that. When I listen to the Sangean, all computers and monitors need to be shut off. I need to get an inline ac ammeter.

Nice setup. I hope you don't have any trouble with RFI with all the radio antennae very close to the power strip. Some of those wall warts can be noisy too. If you have any trouble consider moving the power strip to the floor, away from the antenae. Good luck with the new toys.

All the radios in my shack run from a 12V distribution panel I built (although they can be purchased also). So I only have a few AC adapters. Less RF noise, less power draw when not in use, cleaner looking.

I modified an APC UPS with several large deep cycle batteries. The computer stuff runs off the UPS and the radios run off the batteries that are kept charged by the UPS. The whole shack can run for days without power. The solar panel keeps things charged in the event of an extended outage.
