(?) Sharing BCT15 & BCD996T Files

I have a BCT996T and an seriously thinking about the BCT15. Since they seem to be the same scanner except for the digital capabilities of the 996T, I wonder how I can share files/programing quickly between them both?

I have the UASD and BuTel software for the 996T already.

Since several of you have both, can you tell me what you are doing?

I use the UASD for the 396, 330, and BCT-15. It is as easy as using Windows Explorer and copy and pasting system files from one to the other.
The only issue I have had is you cannot copy and paste digital systems from the 396 (or 996 in your case) to a non-digital scanner.

Actually, I copy from my 396 to my 330 with no problems. The digital settings are simply ignored on the 330 & do not even show up in it's version of UASD. Copying from either the 330 or 396 to the 246 ( or 246 to either 396 or 330) requires a quick key edit, since the 246 only has 10 quick keys & both the 396 and 330 have 100.( I don't do copy & paste. I use Windows Explorer to drag & drop files between folders.)

I don't have either the 15 or 996, but somewhere I believe there was a comment by UPMan that UASD was supposed to be compatible for them..

However, copying a multi-site system from either the 996 or 15 back down to a 396/330/246 would cause problems since they don't have multi-site capability.

Yeah, just don't edit your 996 files with a 'lower model' or you'll lose radio specific data.

Can I upload using the 996 UASD software or do I have to have the BCT15 UASD software?
