[Prayers for all

I am praying for all first responders involved in this incident.
I can't even imagine handling this incident and I have been in fire/ems for 22 years with the last 8 in a "duty officer" position.
I hope that all communications went as well as could have and that any problems will be addressed after the stress de-briefings are held. I am sure some emotions crossed the air waves as could be expected.
I will not judge ANY actions of fire/EMS, only be thankful that they were there!

I really gained a lot of respect for Tim Kaine today. He was not affraid to directly quote the bible and everything. Many politicians would be afraid that the ACLU would have something to say but he didn't really care. The one at VCU was also very good.

I know one is from Chesterfield. Knew about that one last night through friends that knew the guy. I don't think his name has been released to the media yet.

We had 2 from the Harrisonburg area wounded, thankfully they should both recover. Amazingly one was shot in the head.

This is a little late but I was in Zion Crossroads setting up a generator. Saw lots of VSP flying up I64, switched on TAC 154.665 and every group that came by had some chatter going on, very little was about the incident. Probably a stress relief en route to be able to talk. Some were checking on available gas stations in unfamiliar territory.

Also caught Air Force 1 on the way down yesterday talking to Washington Center on 135.400.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of those involved as well. 140 I think you're selling yourself short with this post. Back when I used to run you around you were always professional and handled everything very well.

A student from York County had a Pro-96 or 97 scanning throughout the incident and other students nearby kept their friends informed through text messages while listening to his scanner. Channel 13 in Hampton Roads interviewed him on campus for this evenings news.

The scanner looked more like a 97 but could have been a 96...had an 800MHz antenna on it. He said it was a Christmas present.

Know You

Good evening. I was wondering if you worked on the generators in the Cvlle area. I was, at one time, up in the C'ville area for a while and worked with WG4T and his XYL Carol. Are you on the air up there?

You know that group gets me fired up each time they do a stunt like this. Why don't they go to another country if they hate America so bad? I can tell you why, because if they tried a stunt like they do here somewhere else they would be thrown in jail at the minimum.

Where are the 9-1-1 tapes? I heard there was an initial dismissal of the engineering building part of the incident...

I don't actually work on generators, I work for a wireless carrier and I was deploying generators to sites that had lost power. At one time every site from the east side of C'ville to Gum Spring had lost power. Most came back before the batteries failed.

I do know Dave and Carol, haven't talked to either in a while. I was actually at the Frostfest in Richmond when they got married.

Sometimes I monitor Bearden 147.075 or locally 442.075 or lately the new 145.45 in town here on the hospital. Most of the time I have too many scanners going to monitor ham bands. ;)

Sorry for my ignorance, but, are you saying the Westboro Baptist Church is protesting against the funerals, as it, they shouldn't happen? Or are you saying they are protesting of why they are having these funerals.

I sure hope i'm miss reading this post and it's the second, because otherwise for what reason should these people not get a proper funeral.
