Greetings from another Shoreline listener

Greetings to all,

This forum has been a major enlightenment from most of you. Thank you for the information.

I have used a Radio Shack Pro 39 200 non-trunking scanner for quite a few years and have used scanners from almost the day they came out. I remember having to buy on single chrystal for $5.99 at a local radio shack store that worked in a 4 channel scanner. Boy have things improved.

Scanning mainly two banks the 3 network bank above and one that has all WSP and Local PD around Shoreline not covered by 3 trunked networks. Let me know if King County Fire trunk is worth scanning, since I noticed most of the ID's on the Fire Trunk is in one of the other 3 networks control freq. 468.425 Mhz.

Just purchased a Radio Shack Pro 95 and have it programed for all three networks in the area. Seattle/ValleyComm/King county all thru the control frequency stated in this forum and it works perfect so far.

Will pass on any info I find to this forum.

P.S. Travel down to Vancouver Wa/ Portland and enjoying the trucked network they have down there also. Alot of fun.

Don from Shoreline
Happy Scanning :)

Yeah, the "northwestradio" part clued me in a few years ago, but they almost never respond over there

My 785 is the first radio I've owned that tracked an entire event, start to finish, accurately following a TGID through all 20 or so freqs, actually heard and briefly foolwed ITACs too :)

Strange tho, when I finally did load in all the conventional freqs, those old low/hi VHF and UHF are almost as active as before trunking!

Tho the 785 and its' family CAN scan conventional and trunked, one type will tend to keep the radio busy on itself, dig, like scanning WSP is just as busy as SPD <GRIN>

My apartment complex, some 160 units in all, uses FRS for comms, I'm gonna break down and get a Scantenna just to hear my maintenance guys better (more fun than Seattle street maint ;) )

oh, Hello and welcome, Don!

Hi all

I am new to the board and a Seattle (west) local. I just picked up a new PRO-93 (too good of price to say no) and have a couple questions regarding the local trunk systems listed in the database here.

Mainly, I see what I assume to be 3 entries for columbia tower, sites 001-003, then king county with 006-008, and McDonald Mt with 011 and 015. Do these all carry different traffic or are they simply all simulcasting each other?

I have been playing around with the different systems but so far I havent been able to asertain if they are different or not. Any help would be appreciated. And any real fun freqs not listed in the DB would be great as well.

Just checkin in...

I am just checking in to see if there is any thing going on around the greater Seattle area. seems like this thread has cooled off a bit. My name is Bill I was formerly "Billvert" if you look at the first page of this group I used to be fairly active. On a visit to the main library here in Seattle someone decided they needed my back pack more than I did, unfortunately my Pro-95 was in it. I recently found a good deal on another 95 and I am in the process of loading it back up again.

Let's get some interest going on here in the greater seattle area.

Seattle trunking still lives

HEY everyone,
Where is every one. I will keep checking in here about once a week and see if any other people are interested in exchanging notes and freqs.

PRO-95 problem

Hello!

I will be moving from Greenacres (West Palm Beach), Florida to the Greater Seattle area sometime this year (hopefully). I was wondering if you could help me with my PRO-95! I am trying to put TG #23955 in and it keeps resetting it to #23952 like this:

Code:
Bank 3-2 ON
ID No. 18
MOT: 23955

Bank 3-2 ON
ID No. 18
MOT: 23952
Dupl ID 2-17

What do I do? Any help would be helpful!

And of course, any other WSP #'s would be cool.

Hope to maybe one day meet you!

Andrew

I have a Uniden Bearcat BC100XLT, RadioShack PRO-46, RadioShack PRO-95.
