At 11:45 am today, 8-1-2009, I am monitoring the Marion County Sheriff's Office trunked system and talkgroups... sounds like a possible robbery, and MCSO deputies called into dispatch to send ambulances 10-46 URGENT, asap for a shooting, possibly 2 persons shot, but not confirmed, one definitely shot and wounded. Deputies called in signal 35 (shooting) and to send the HELO for one urgent flight transport. An LZ is being set up, and on the med-com talkgroup for MC I just heard them say they have a 31 year old female shot 4 times, 3 in the back, and one in the rib cage, with no exit wounds.... the second female, possibly shot in the rear left thigh or leg... Medics are awaiting the HELO at the LZ at 12:10 pm for the more critical shooting victom. Location of incident sounds as if its near 80th and highway 441. Thats all that I have at this time, alot of radio traffic in MC this morning. I'm sure tonites news will be covering the complete story.
