Hi..I currently have Pro-528...would I be happier with Pro 97? it was not in stock or on display when I bought my Pro-528...

if you like having alpha tags for all of your talk groups ans channels then yes, you would be happy other than that I don't know of any major differences ... good luck

As someone who has done that exact thing, I can say I like my 97 much better than my 528. The alpha tagging alone is worth it, and I have a few frequencies in the area where the PL/DPL decoding comes in handy.

100% agree , I'm "spoiled" on the Alpha tagging........when it comes to that I wouldn't even question which one....528 is not a bad scanner at all . just like the Alpha
