Hey for all the scanner enthusiasts who watch the show cops, on tonights new episode they will be in Houston for the first time in a while. The episode is on at 8:00 pm on Fox. www.cops.com

Did anyone see the camera crew when they were in Houston filming? Pretty cool they are trying out new cities.

Sorry, not the first time. They have been here before, both with the HPD and the Sheriff's Department.
Some shows were OK, but some were lame. If you've seen them, you know which ones I mean.
Well, there are re-runs on various cable channels.

I wish I had known about the new show. But, a Vin Diesel movie on ABC took precedence.

Well, I didn't know if you were aware of the past history of the show. There are some people who have not seen the episodes from the last century. Some were good, but one was extremely lame, and I wonder how much the producers were paid to show those segments.

It definitely is not the first time COPS has been in Houston. I saw an old episode on TruTV once where some Harris County SO deputies tangled with a guy who flipped out when they confronted him after a domestic disturbance. Houston PD, however, is kind of rare (I have only seen a few episodes featuring the department, and most of them are extremely old--dating back to the early to mid 1990's).

Talk about stereotyping. Remember the episode with the Sheriff deputy who said his job was to bring donuts to roll call?

The early to mid 90's doesn't really seem all that long ago to a few of us around here....' I am guessing since you are a student at SHSU you were quite young when they were last in Houston....

Heck I remember them filming in the 90's....might have been caught in the background on a episode.....

Remember the pickup truck chase through Allwn Parkway Village? Talk about "over the river and down the sidewalks..."

I remember it well. I have probably seen that episode 50 or more times. In fact, it is one that has been used as a training film at some agencies.
