One of my buddies who is a deputy with Pierce County advised me that COPS will be filming over in the South Hill Precinct starting June 22 for 5 weeks. Keep your eye out for the camera crew!

Hey Dick was the COPS crew doing a ride along in that car, how about a little back ground on the photos that CVPI looks like its out of service LOL.

A COPS 2-man crew was in the back seat of the unmarked police car (Photo-06).
They were proceeding at normal speed when a car crossed the center strip and hit them head-on. They and the cop driving were injured, but not seriously.
In the last photo, a second COPS crew (blue jacket & black jacket) have unloaded all the first crew's equipment. I have no idea where they came from. Maybe two crews cover an assignment. ?
This was all on FIREPICS.NET. You ought to join if you are interested in fire scenes. It's mostly east coast, but I post Portland stuff. It's a whopping $2 a year to join. :)

I wonder if the camera crew will be the same crews that were in Portland? I agree, hope they have better luck than, they did in Portland with the mva head-on there.

I was watching the behind the scenes segment on one of my COPS dvd's and they said that they usually have two sets of camera crews out a shift to be able to cover both ends of a city.

Here's a nice article the news tribune wrote about COPS being here http://blog.thenewstribune.com/crime/2010/06/22/popular-reality-based-police-show-teams-up-again-with-pierce-county-deputies
