Before handhelds it was used all the time. Now it only used when dipatchers just keep giving out calls

Uh huh..someone I know used to do the same thing, only in reverse when coppers wanted to 28-29 everything with wheels. It's amazing how fast "OLETS is down" can happen when folks run too many 28's. However, the smart coppers call another agency to see if thier OLETS is down too. If it's not, chances are, the dispatcher is full of crap. Later![/quote

Many years ago I was a distpacher, but I would neve have done such a thing :roll:

Now I can do th opposite. Do to my assignment I have 2 ways into olets
and a third straight into the tax comission. when they say they are down I am not ussually...ohh sweet revenge :evil:

around here we/they use 10-45 for lunch/rest stop break
