I logged a bit of info just for fun on Fleetnet sites in my area. Site, Approx distance from me in Miles, Bars on signal meter on 296, signal strength on test screen of Proscan first just CC and then with Digital Voice active.

What are you using for an antenna? I have a home-made multiband about 40ft up. I get all those sites with good clarity of communications, for the most part. The odd transmission gets a little flakey but not very often, even on the 0-1 sites.
