I was wondering if anybody knows of the signal codes and status codes that they use in Lee County. I already have the ten codes. Or, does anybody know where I can findthem ???
Thanks,

Every county does things a little different, however get a copy of the State of Florida Uniform Dispatch codes (here is an example: http://home.cfl.rr.com/scanner/code.htm#PLM ) and you should be able to use this as a guide.

You will know if you hear something that is grossly wrong in the way they dispatch the call. If you hear them dispatch a signal ten and mention 'the dog can no longer walk' you know that this one has been modified to some sort of animal complaint.

It's important to "listen" to what the dispatcher is saying, that will typically give away the nature of the call and in many cases you don't even need a code list.
