Yes a 396t will work. The Fremont Sheriff talkgroup is encrypted at times, but most of the time is not encrypted. They have been simulcasting at times on both 700 and the old uhf 460.0750 frequency.

Signman here . UPS guy just left me undin396t after 4hours of pushing buttons i manged to program fremont so 460.075 and all of 769.61875 to 799.61875 P25 freq Can i get the soft ware off interne?It has a lot of calaforna radio freq I have a lot to learn with this digatel reciver thanks Carey AND it WORKS

Nice pick. Scannow.org is the free software. I'm up here in gallatin co, MT I'm headed this summer to Idaho Falls for the airshow. So courious about how the systems are working on the 396t. There is a Uniden Fimware update that will decode the P25 signal better. My 396t came with 1.01.00, but have updated to 3.01.00. Menu -See Scanner Info -Filmware Version. You can get the update thru the Uniden website
