We did not always agree, he even gave me infractions but nobody deserves to go at 64.. sad day for the scanning community.

Just a few weeks ago I was wondering what had happened to Lou - he hadn't closed any boisterous threads in a while I was worried. Rest in peace sir. :(

While we bumped heads quite a few times, I hope he rests in peace and his family gets through this difficult time.

R.I.P., Lou. Condolences to his family, friends and associates. Radio Reference won't be the same without him.

I usually just skim the forums and I had to do a double-take. Then I got that sinking feeling.

I didn't know Lou, and I tried very hard not to go south of the line to get to know him, at least in a directly interactive fashion as a moderator. I did enjoy reading his posts - especially the ones where he didn't have to be a mod, but just Lou.

My heart goes out to his family and friends.

This is very sad indeed. Lou was a great help to me when I first joined as a RR admin. He also provided me some valuable information on the South Dakota State Radio System while he was up there. His knowledge and contributions will be greatly missed here. My condolences go to his family.

Jeez. It really just sunk in that Lou is gone. I've been around here since the early 2000's and you just expect someone like him to always be there!
Very sad.

Wow, just terrible and sad news. Having just recently lost a close family member with this horrific disease, words cannot express how I feel for Lou's passing, true mentor for us and the RR community and will be really missed.

RIP Lou and prayers to his family and friends.

rip - lou m. condolences to his family, and friends. i echo the sentiments of those that lou had given an infraction too. the board needs moderation. i thank him for his service to the radio hobby. thru my own health problems, and personal trials, and tribulations, i've mellowed, and learned. again, rip.
