Thoughts & Prayers

That is very sad news. I enjoyed knowing him via RR. He was a fair man. When I first started posting in Forums, I did not fully understand the protocol. He helped right my posting behavior. Afterward, he acted like a professional, considerate and very helpful to me regarding Texas Scanning. I will miss his presence on RR. RIP dear soul!

Obituary; Funeral Notice? I can Not find anything online.

My Condolences and Sympathy.

It goes without saying that our hearts are heavy today. Lou Maag passed away last night at age 64 after struggling with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife and family and went peacefully.

Lou was one of our first database administrators, going all the way back to the days of trunkedradio.net. And as many know, he was a guiding force in making sure the forums ran smoothly as a very active moderator. It is hard to emphasize enough how much impact Lou had in this community.

He will be sorely missed.

For those looking for obituaries, keep in mind that newspapers charge families to put obituaries in the paper. My small local paper charges about $400+ for a small obit with a picture. Many families are electing not to publish and instead put the money to better use, as a donation to a charity, to cover medical expenses, etc.

RIP Lou

Always a great man and while he did enforce the rules, he was also VERY fair. He was always helpful to me and gave some great guidance

His presence will be sorely missed here
