Hello, I am having real problems when i am up in barrie. I am trying to listen on the edgar tower however it doesn't pick up the control channel on the uniden 296D. I have looked over the freq again and with no luck. however when i search insted of scan i can pick up a digital freq. i am guessing opp, and it says full strength.. any reason why i can't get anything when i am in search mode?

Try programming in the Simcoe tower Kiing may work there as well. Same TG's Edgar might not be strong enough where you are at. Since you are hearing comms on other freqs from the systems sounds like the control channel is not strong enough. That makes the simple solution to switch towers.

When I lived in Barrie I was able to pick up Primrose quite well. Edgar came in pretty good too usually... Maybe consider a new antenna?
