Has anyone mastered programming a APX 7000 with a simulcast system. I am wondering how it needs to be programmed to go from site to site same talk groups. When we take EMS transfers we need it to switch to another tower/site. How is this accomplished in the CPS.

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

If you are asking about it switching subsites, it doesn't. Your uplink packets are voted via the comparator, downlink is managed via launch delays and antenna patterns.
If you are asking about switching between sites, that depends on how that TG and your radio are provisioned in PM. It's not anything you can pick and choose in CPS.
I would highly recommend contacting the system administrator with your questions.

A simulcast system is just that, a simulcast system. Lets say you have 4 tower sites with Site 1 being the prime site. The prime site is where the other 3 sites are linked to. It does not matter where a subscriber is located within the coverage area. The subscriber is going to key up the nearest tower site and in return all 3 of the other sites will key up to simulcast the transmission. The user cannot control what tower they hit because that is not how a simulcast works. If it was a trunking system, that'd be a whole different story.
To put it simply, you, the user cannot select a tower site on a simulcast system. The system automatically decides what tower site is closest to you.

You've lost me. HOW are you trying to program the radio with a simulcast system? Are you a legit user or a scanner buff? If you're a legit user, then you do nothing. The system admin will program it. If you're not, then I'm assuming you're trying to do NAS. There is still nothing you can do. The radio will hear multiple sites on the same frequency, period.

If you're a legit user and I understand the question you're asking correctly then I would advise proceeding with caution. Assuming that the subscriber radio is authorized for public safety purposes, you run the risk of dragging a talk-group. So I would have to agree with others that you should contact the system admin regarding this situation. There might possibly be mutual-aid channels available but where I'm at those have to be approved by the system admin before using.
The principal behind simulcast is for the system/infrastructure to do the work, not the radio or radio user.
If your system admin has authorized permission for you to program radios on the system, there is a setting or two that can slightly enhance field TX on simulcast vs stand alone sites. (P25) But you need to know much more about the system. You are entering deep water and adjusting these parameters on mission critical communications should not be left to direction from "internet advisors".
