That's if someone has submitted information to the database admins and they update the db accordingly. Other times, it takes a little legwork. For example, the New Bernheim site of the Louisville MetroSafe system is simulcast. One would have to look up the license(s) and see where the transmitters are and whether the frequencies for each transmitter are the same.
If it isn't listed as such in the database and you're unsure, program the system into a scanner other than an SDS100 or 200. If you hear skipping, stuttering, locking up on transmissions, garbling, etc with full signal bars and you've ruled out encryption as a factor, chances are the site(s) may be simulcast
It says you're in Morris County, NJ. If you are asking for there, some helpful DB Admin has added the notes about LSM being in use:
This system employs Linear Simulcast Modulation (LSM). Uniden BCD396XT, BCD996XT and HomePatrol users should make sure they have the latest firmware, which significantly improves decoding of LSM systems.
Well..... Simulcast sites ALL have the exact same frequencies, control channels and carry the same talk groups. A simulcast "cell" has two or more simulcast sites.
