I bought a second hand Iphone 5s for $50 just to be able to use Siren. When the Android version came out I bought a second hand Samsung S4mini for $40 and that version shows more info, like user id, color code and slot number and has four top buttons instead of three to access close call and to select different modes of search and fire tone out. The Android version is much more advanced.

The siren app doesn't work with the Samsung Galaxy s9+. It crashes the OS. Clearing cache doesn't help. Worked great on the Galaxy s7 plus.

I've had Android phones for many years and never had it crash. But I don't download and install every lame app out there. As for Siren, when I ran it on my Samsung Galaxy S8, it ran ok, but it didn't appear to format properly on the screen. Possibly due to the odd size of the screen. In any event, I wasn't impressed, and uninstalled it.

It's not just "lame" apps that are crashing. It's also crashing pre-loaded stock apps such as ones that handle security and handset maintenance. What Android OS did you have on your S8 when it worked?

The S8 is updated through Verizon and they do so quite often. I don't have it by me at the moment to tell you what version it's at. I bought the wife and I S8's and we were some of the first people to get them when they were first released. They've always worked, never crashed, ever.

My S8 is also activated on Verizon, and is currently on Android 8 Oreo. My point was that it was possible that, at the time you had Siren installed, you had not yet migrated from Android 7 to 8. I only installed Siren after the phone upgraded to Oreo. As I posted earlier, Siren works fine on my old S4 with Android 5.

Still haven't heard about a fix for this. If Uniden isn't going to update Siren for Android at least they could officially send out an end of life bulliten or something.

Add me to the list of Siren problems on my Samsung S8. It worked fine until a recent update and now crashes eveything. I hope Uniden will take a little time away from the SDS craze and help out there old loyal customers on this as well.

Same here Pixel 2XL, all it does is crash. Doubt Uniden will fix it. I'm not buying that newfangled SDS200.

I use it on a 3 year old Fire HD 10 Tablet, runs like champ. Never tried it on my phone, sad they let it slip away.

You might consider doing what I do. I use Proscan as the server, and I can either use Proscan RSOIP when I want to use another computer on the receiving end (what I do when working in my office), or when I want to, I can use the Proscan web server function and use my smart phone to control the scanner from anywhere, anytime. When I need, I can use some bluetooth earbuds and have stealth monitoring anywhere...works very well.

I also use ProScan Remote Scanner Over IP extensively for Windows clients both on and off my network and it works great. I have played with Web Server to be able control from my smart phone, but I found the audio to be out of sync with the display by around 10 seconds. What was on the display was real-time, but the audio was delayed. Do you experience this?
