I know this is old news, but how do you feel about the merger? I have always been on the Sirius side of things, because (don't flame me) but I like to know the songs. I don't like to hear lots of B side songs on albums. I have noticed that even on Hair Nation they have played some B side songs, so they do some programing like XM did. I got 'Best of XM' for Big 10 sports, NBA, and NHL but I wish I could get baseball. MLB homeplate is a great station, but I would still like the games.

Heh, I can answer this easily....I terminated my subscription. I stick to an MP3 player now and online summaries of what happened on Howard Stern.

I subscribed to XM because they DON'T have Howard Stern. My understanding of the situation is that the merger didn't enhance the financial stability of either company, so I think it was a poor business decision. But as to how it worked out, I have no problem finding the music that I like to listen to, merger or not.

And those B sides? Bring 'em on. There's a lot of hidden gems on the B side.

Slacker is a great alternative to sat. radio. Your playlist are updated so they always stay fresh, once it learns your style of music. You can set your own playlist or use someone else's stations they have created. There is a free version and a pay (much cheaper than sat) that lets you have unlimited song skips.

Except it doesn't work when I'm traveling to radio sites in the desert and I have 5 hours of windshield time ahead of me.
