Would anyone be kind enough to explain to me just how to use the the 100 System,Site, Quick keys on this scanner?
I use the 10 Group Quick Keys having assigned a group of conventional and trunked channels to the 0-9 keys and use them to select what I want to hear. I have searched the Easy to Read and the Bearcat Manual but have yet gotten an answer about the 100 quick keys. How do I program them and what do they do?

Mike

100 'System/Site/Search Quick Keys' (0-99) and 10 'Group Quick Keys' (0-9).

While in the scan mode push the dot/period button then the system number assigned. Example- .15 - The scanner will activate or deactivate that system if there is a system assigned to quick key #15.

Thanks for all your help, guys, but forgive me as I am still confused. I press the NO key, then press 11 as I have an EDACS tower site set for 11. The SO: line changes to S1 for a few seconds then reverts back to the original SO scan. Isn't this supposed to show 11 on the GRP line? Presently all I have there is a -.
Pardon my ignorance with these DMA systems! I started Police Listening back in 1970 with a tunable radio, then crystal controlled right up the line to these. I try to stay on top of the new stuff but seem to have hit a wall. The manuals are no help, at least to me! Thanks for taking time to answer!

OK I just figured something out! There are many "tiers" to the keys! SO 0-9,S1 10-19,ETC.

But what is the GRP line do?
I should have mentioned I am using FREESCAN for programming.

SQK = System / Site Quick Keys and are activated by either the single digit or .NN for two-digit SQKs. SQKs can be from 0-00

GQK = Group Quick Keys. Each system can have up to 10 group quick keys assigned to channel groups (0-9) to turn the channel group within the system on/off quickly. They are activated/deactivated by F+# while scanning the system you want to affect.
