Hi, probably a dumb question. Taking a look at this NSRS site:

Angel Peak is atop Mt. Charleston, yet the map shows towers all over the valley. Does this simply mean that the other towers are repeating each other (like an analog simulcast)? Some of these towers coincide with other sites.

I'm trying to fine tune what site my scanner can best receive in certain areas and while Angel Peak itself is very far away from where I generally listen, it seems to do better than the Sunrise Mountain (Nevada Shared Radio System Site: Las Vegas (Sunrise Mountain)) that is geographically far closer to me.

Not necessarily. The "site map" markers shown on the site details page is simply an amalgamation of all licensed sites on the FCC license(s). It's not anything we control here at RadioReference, and therefore it may show only the site(s) in question, or it may show other sites that are not necessarily related.
