Thank you for your service to our country.

Here's an online training slide show, courtesy of NWS Tampa Bay: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/tbw/html/tbw/skywarntrain/index.html

Here are some others, courtesy of a group of storm chasers: http://spotterguides.us/

Here are the original Basic and Advanced Spotter Guides in .pdf, courtesy of NWS Honolulu (scroll down): http://www.prh.noaa.gov/hnl/skywarn/

There are others out there, but this should give you a good start.

BTW... didn't PM so others could benefit. :D

The Albany office does not offer spotter training online.

I think its also important to note that some of the weather offices don't recognize the online training as formal spotter training and if you report something to them you will be report will carry the same weight as the general public.

Most WFOs in active areas offer a SKYWARN class in each county once a year. At times an all day advanced class is made available as well. Both are highly recommended.

Here's a link to an online spotter talk that the Indianapolis NWS put together a couple of years ago.
