If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hi,

I have SLR8000 VHF repeater and it has an issue with output power.... I checked the power with the power meter and there is 0 output power on the TX.
Moreover, I have requested a new part for each of the Modem Module and PA from Motorola, after receiving the parts I replaced both but still, the issue is there and after a while on switching the repeater ON the LED status goes RED...

Any technical help in this regard, thanks.

Have you read the repeater with RDAC?

Yes, I've used RDAC to detect the issue but after a while of switching ON the repeater the Status LED goes red..... and after that the connection will be lost because the repeater goes non-operational mode.

Does it have an antenna relay? Do you have it connected to a duplexer? Are you sure you have the connections going to the proper place? Go into the codeplug and set all alarms to minor and write the codeplug. After that connect the repeater to a power sensor/watt meter and a dummy load. Connect a hand mic to the front panel and key up.

Yes, I did what you said exactly... But the problem is not the connection the repeater is connected to Dummy load but after a while of switching ON the repeater status LED goes Red and CPS can't detect and read the codeplug...further what I read in the RDAC is there is an issue with PA voltage.
