Looks like SMU is using a DMR Connect + system for comms.
So far I've been able to diagram out (I believe) the following
451.2875 1 CC 10
451.2875 2 CC 10
462.0125 3 CC 10
462.0125 4 CC 10
Other channels in use are 464.5 and 462.3 I believe.
TG 5 is probably in use by SMU Police, and it's encrypted with ARC4. There are other talkgroups in use in the clear. SMU police is occasionally patched to the GMRS system in the clear.
If anyone knows more, let me know. I live about a mile from the campus
I seem to recall that system being on my radar a year or two back, and I recall doing a scan near the Plano satellite campus off of Tennyson. What I'm not finding is anything conclusive in my notes nor an actual entry in my DSDPlus files (Yes I have a lot of stuff that is incomplete and need work to make an RRDB submission, but I don't have time when systems are active to get in range and complete them), so I may have never found anything conclusive to warrant further research.
Like you, my office is about a mile and change from the campus (Knox and 75) - but I don't have a permanent office assignment, and I'm rarely making the 45 mile drive in more than once a month. Since our parking is 3 levels underground, I get nothing on the mobile rig (DSDPlus) - so I need to arrange the mobile rig to be a discrete/lite version I can take into whatever "hotel" office I'm in that day (on the 9th or 10th floor of the building where reception should be incredible even with a rubber-duck antenna), but that will likely have to wait until I return from Kansas City and Austin (Late September and Early October respectively) before I can get around to it - the SDR radios will need a better mount than they're in today and it's going to take time to prototype and 3D print a new mount that will protect them and the USB hub in a portfolio bag with the laptop.
I'll definitely put this one back on the radar for when I'm in the area (I'll also try and re-visit the Plano satellite).
