I never monitor any of the comms coming from the Smyrna Airport or the National Guard. Are they very chatty?

Roger that Stewart. There isn't much in the way of exciting comms at MQY. Just the usual flight training and such. As there is a tower frequency only. Nashville handles the approaches and departures. As for the Guard there used to be a few comms on 49.300 (am) and 233.800 but i haven't heard anything lately. Probably due to their deployment or maybe they have changed.

Most of the stuff of late is out of towner's doing their old routine touch and go's. some Army stuff and some Air Guard also.

Got a surprise with a 5 ship apache formation coming in the other night, and one B.Hawk out.

The unit here is still performing well in Iraq, from what I am hearing alot of lately.

The UH-60's the had here before swithcing airframes were from Jackson so some of the personel had to move to that unit for drills and so on.

I was unable to find out if the had finshed their conversion to the AH-64A's before deplyment or not for smyrna.
It was great seeing the Apaches coming in though just shook the house alittle.

Keep my PRO-26 just for milcom around here and will have it going at the show.
