Snohomish County P25 system active

This morning, I have noticed what I'm sure is the new Snohomish County P25 (East Simulcast site?) active on 853.925. Minimal activity, with the exception of a couple of affiliations to TGID 43 and rapid control channel rotation. The primary control channel is oddly reporting as 852.9125, but the actual CC data is on 853.925. My guess is due to the system being very early on and nowhere close to being properly configured yet.

Also, SNO911 board meetings suggest that system will not be fully operational until early 2025.

I am still receiving 853.925 CC fine from my location. I noticed that throughout the day, the signal would suddenly become much stronger, just as strong as the Smartzone CC on 853.750, which I imagine is when all of the East Simulcast towers were carrying the P25 traffic. It is quite a bit weaker than 853.750 right now, though.

Probably will not see any voice traffic for a while, as on the Smartzone system, they still have 853.925 configured as an analog voice channel. Seems to be common that someone keys up on the Smartzone system and it steps on the P25 CC, creating a lot of interference.
However, I did log two talkgroups today (38 and 43) with quite a few affiliations to both. I will keep an eye out for West Simulcast.

Okay my bad. I'm seeing a very weak signal there. I have the SDR preamp cranked up to its maximum too. Ah well. 853.75 and the other Type II CCs are coming in just fine.

Update: I believe the system was active for a short time this morning, but now I can no longer find it. I can't tell you the exact time it was deactivated, but I think it was on for around 24hrs. I'll give this thread a rest unless there's some major update.

Thanks for the info. I briefly read over this in the SNO911 board meeting packet yesterday.

Also, West Simulcast for the new P25 system was active the other day, with the CC rotating between 854.5625 and 854.0125. Site 7 and NAC 3A7.

There is table listing all the system sites & frequencies in the February 2022 Board Meeting Packet on page 143. It looks like the system will be split in to North & South Simulcasts.
