SDS150: Soft Leather Case for SDS150

I see ScannerMaster has a soft leather case for the SDS150 that will fit the charger for $40.00. I was wondering if anyone has purchased this and your thought on how it fit in the charger. I might give it a try but was looking for anyone's opinion. It is the first I have seen this and it perked my interest.

Here's my review from March. SDS150: - Uniden SDS150 leather case.
Others have a not so positive review of it and I have considered trying the newer nylon sleeve but am still satisfied with it.

Received mine today, can't give it a positive review though. The fascination with the belt clip and hard backside makes it uneven to stand and it doesn't fit very well in the case. The bottom flap velcro won't last very long, especially if it's used as advertised...to charge while in the case. You have to remove the bottom flaps to set it in the charger, and the scanner slides around then. I had to remove the button belt clip from the scanner to get it in there, and the cases add to much bulk to the scanner. I reverted back to the SDS100 "protective sleeve", and even though it's about an inch too short, it feels more secure. A SDS150 protective sleeve design, identical to the SDS100's with it being a tad longer would be a better fit in my opinion.

I've tried that one along with one other and wasn't happy with either for typical reasons others have mentioned on here and elsewhere. It works ok in the charger if that's your main concern. I gave up on the leather case thing. Ended up just getting a bag meant for multimeters and what not. It obviously doesn't provide the same functionality as a traditional case but it's nice for protection when taking it from place to place. Until another company comes out with a different traditional case I don't think there are any great options though I bet someone with 3d printing experience could make something pretty nice. For anyone looking for a non hard case just for added protection while transporting this works quite well. Compact but has room for a spare battery, cables, antenna, etc.

My leather case isn't so soft but wanted it to protect my 150 when I take it out of the house. Snug getting it in and out. Worth the money. That soft vinyl case won't protect the radio.

Ditto. I don't have the charger case, but I do have the regular soft leather case, and got it for the same reason, to protect against dings and dents. Works like a champ.
