Win500: Software Key Issue

I am having a issue with WIN500. I have not used the software in quite some time, I have the original key information so that is not the issue. I am starting to think this has something to do with Win 10. Every time I open the program I have to enter the key. I have tried it with WIN500 and WIN500_COM. It tells me each time the key is valid and has been stored, but once I close it and try to reopen it I get prompted for the key again.

Has anyone come across this problem I am having?
