As a newcomer, learning about the skies and what things affect DXing is fascinating. I started in August and at first I could pretty much only get Western Hemisphere stations on SW.

In September, things improved, and I began to catch signals from Africa, Asia and Europe. Now in October, things have changed again. Recently the Eastern Hemisphere catches I get are 90% from China. Formerly super-reliable signals from Brazil and Spain are no longer reliable at all. Meanwhile it’s amazing how much China is pumping into the airwaves.

I agree with you, I have been picking up China all over the bands, also the Armature Radio operators are coming in on 40,20,17,15,12,10 Meters the last couple of days. Real strong signals on the bands.
