My house is wrapped in foil insulation which limits the use of scanners except near the windows or phone lines. My solution to this problem was to place a metal strip on the window sill and place the Workman KS1 and KS3 antennas on that strip.

Outside antennas not allowed ??

Does the attic have the foil shield ?

Sometimes the Eglass on the windows will also affect signal.

I've heard of tinfoil hats, but never a tinfoil house.

In this area they use a lot of foil backed vapor barrier so even the attic is wrapped. The area of the attic that is open is at the other end of the house as is the mounting areas on the outside. The cable run would be 100ft. So this is the best solution.

The antennas look great, but by my Luminox, your sundial (as seen outside the window) is off by about 7 1/2 minutes.

Please correct this.

:D

(I hope you realize this is a joke)...nice solution...
