Sentinel: Sort Locations in Sentinel Location Settings?

In Uniden Sentinel, I have a large list of locations stored in the "Location Settings" tab.

I may want (or need) to add more locations (search ZIP code and append to Locations listed in the window).

I can't have an unsorted list of locations. It just triggers...

Is it possible to add new locations to the existing locations listed then sort by the names I gave them?

I'd like to be able to expand my locations listing, but really need to be able to sort them by name so I can find them quickly on the scanner.

Probably not in sentinel as it’s limited in what it can do.

Can you post a screen shot showing what your seeing?

Don't think you can give locations names. Believe the location data is attached to the dept/site its part of.

I plugged these in one by one in the order they list alphabetically.
You get to name the location when you "Append".

If I want to add something that goes ahead of, in the middle of, or at the end of what is there already... I would want to sort based on the location name I gave it. If that makes sense...

Never seen that done like that. Do you listen from all those locations? Do you use favorites lists or just the full database?

I use favorites with zip code services.

Will only pull from favorite lists activated, but I cover large area and got tired of punching in zip codes.

How far apart are these areas? Do you drive with the scanner?

Locations could be 20 to 40 miles apart.

May be in Granville located in SW Hampden County or Pelham in NE Hampshire County or any town in between for work.

Just easier to set location by name than by trying to remember Zip codes. Even if two adjacent towns won't make any difference on which on is used, having Locations identified by name just .are it easier to flip Locations if moving about the area.

You know you can get a gps and then enable all lists of interest and not have to touch anything, right?

Not sure I want to drag dangly things with portable SDS100...

Have you thought about utilizing quick keys? I live on Long Island and have each county in its own fav list with each counties agencies within. When out East I enable that fav list. When near NYC I enable that fav list. I have quick keys set for each entity.

Looking at profile editor there is no way to easily add to or sort entries in that location tab.
