As for the scanner, check the for sale ads or flea bay.

Have the 785D -- bought around 2 years ago, but didn't know the card had been discontinued, so would like to get hold of one.

Will check Uniden store, and see if its available still--and if they take Money Orders.

Have you tried posting a "wanted" add on the forums?
I have 2 250's and 1 785D. I was lucky enough to have cards supplied with two of them, but I did manage to find the third card here on RR
Lots of people upgrading these days, maybe someone is ready to part with one.

It's listed in the online store, in SCANNERS!!!! Or at least it was on 7-14-06

It's still there right now. Grab it while you can. Once it goes back out of stock, like it does fairly quickly, it'll be several months before it surfaces again. \
