Spoony WTF ? Bad Practice

I'm in conversation through pm's with this guy about buying the BCT15 - send him paypal - wham a second later it's refunded with the message - sorry someone else bought it first -

man don't sit there and play people like that , that wasn't a very cool thing to do - now I have to wait 3 - 4 days to get the money accounted on my account

Scandabands sorry to hear about what happened with spoony. I have to believe it to be some sort of mix up or something. First off let me say that I am not taking any sides in this issue between you and him, but I just felt like I have to say something here about spoony. About a year ago he was trying to help someone on this board with their scanner and said something like if you lived closer I could program it for you in person and I saw where he was from so I pm him and he gave me his phone # and i call and he lives less than 10 miles from me and tells me to come over and programs my scanner for me for free and I never met the man before. I'm sorry you had bad luck with him. I don't think it was anything intentional on his part.

oh no there was no "mis communication AT ALL - played me while he fished around with another and never bothered to tell me , maybe I'm just this way but I would NEVER do that to anyone , buyer wants whatever I have it's one on one , had that happen many times and I'm sure most post have more than one interested. I would tell the others I have somebody interested and if it does not work out be glad to get back to them. Thanks

You did not give me a chance to explain that another person was also interested and before I knew what hit me you fired off your money before I could tell you. You say what you have to and lets put this behind us because I wasn't playing anyone. I was just trying to sell my scanner and if I caused you any real harm I am sorry.

ok well , we'll end it here sounds good to me but I think when we sent about 10 pm's back and forth in about 10-15 minutes time you had plenty of time to tell me somebody else was buying it - I don't mean you harm by any means that's what this feedback forum is about - good or bad - it was bad for me , I have to wait until Monday or Tuesday to actually get my money back...thanks for responding and regards.

I'm not going to disagree with what you say, I really do understand how you feel. Paypal does suck when a refund is involved. They are quick to take your money, but I agree it is unfair to wait several days for it back. After paying their fee and the shipping charges I ended up with about $148.00 for a scanner I paid $235.00 for. Not exactly what I would have liked to have gotten, but that's what happened.
Nuff said I guess.....later......
