Does anyone have these talk groups programmed and is there anything to listen to? Many TGID's show un-encrypted. I have a Unication so not so easy to program and hear myself...

I'm a little too far east to get any of the Slater TGs, but if that's what you're after, on the Unicaiton, I'd program a site and put it in trunking monitor mode and see what you hear on it. Make notes of the TG's and look them up in RR and see if it's something you're interested in. I've done that in IL about 30 miles east of you to see about different stuff and occasionally new stuff that might pop up.
If he’s talking about the Metropolitan Police, they will be found on MOSWIN.
Ok thanks. I'm still a little too far east but the same method would work. I have Moswin going out I70 and down 44 programmed but I only listen when I'm over that way. I didn't put any city PD in there. Not really interested in that usually. I do have a know position that's TG monitor so I'll get whatever is available if I have the desire to do that.
You won't hear St Louis City PD. All regular channels/TG's are encrypted. There are rare occasions when the enc doesn't work properly and you hear a couple conversations. And there are times when a radio or two have the enc switched off. Your best bet is to monitor St. Louis FD and EMS on all of their TG 's.
The database appears to be kept up to date and will give you a good idea. Look under the MODE column, a DE means full time encryption, a De is partially (some/most times) encrypted, and D means in the clear. As @scanman1958 said, it looks like St Louis City PD is mostly encrypted, but there are lots of other things to monitor.

As for your Unication, it is a lot easier to program using the Radio Reference import feature, since you are a premium subscriber.

I would assume 99% of those are encrypted. I personally have never taken the time to find out, as again, I just assumed they were.
