Anyone else monitoring the test that Greenwood Village PD seems to be coordinating with Denver Air-1, AirLife L/G 73, Colorado Springs PD, Grand Junction PD etc?

It was South Metro FD showing off there fancy mobile command post at the Goose Chase Bike Ride and they were just proving they could talk to helicopters and comm centers in all corners of the state!

Just going to ask this question. I heard Greenwood talking to a Durango SO guy I believe, and air one at the same time. And of all the surprises, they could hear each other too!

From Woodland Park on MAC 9, heard Greenwood ask Colo Spgs PD to talk to Denver Air 1.

The ITAC's and STAC's all have a PL of 156.7. The MAC's are talkgroups within the DTRS system and I'm still learning, so I'm not sure about
any P25 NAC's.

ITAC's and STAC's

Can you tell me what these stand for ITAC & STAC and the freq's they are on and how do I put them in to my pro-106 and pro-197? If anyone has a file on these can you please forward to me in private message? I use PSREdit500.

NACs (Network Access Codes) are basically the P25 equivalent of PLs / DPLs. That's the reason I was wondering if they ran with NACs `open' / `off' and used the good ole 156.7 PLs as if they were `analog'. (Heck *I* am still trying to figure out how some of these `new-fangled' radios work these days. Reminds of A.C. Clarke's one `law'. IE: "Any sufficient advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." {GRIN!} [We used to have it prominently posted right at our front counter at our old stereo repair shop. {VB GRIN!} We *did* have a few customers who just didn't `get it' and even fewer didn't `get it' even after we'd explained it. {GRIMACE!}])

Try this `link'
VHF/700/800 MHz Mutual Aid Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

If it doesn't work go to the Colorado section of the Database and look for the `Colorado State Agencies' and then use the `pull down menu' and select the `VHF/700/800 MHz Mutual Aid' item and hit `retrieve' and you'll find those and a lot more. As to how you get there from within PSREdit's `Import from RR' you'll have to experiment as I haven't ever actually bothered to use the `import' function for those particular freqs. They're basically some more Mutual Aid channels along the lines of NLEEC, CLEER, FERN, HEAR, ETC..
