It wasnt a classical "standoff" with assigned tactical channels per se. The only reason I paid more attention was hearing Batallion 14 called to the address...then EMS 14 (medical doctor) Also when an LAPD helicopter wanted to know what was going on, they wouldnt get a quick recap like they regularly do....and were told to read it on the MDT.
During the caravan to the hospital, I believe a gang unit supervisor was in charge, with several other radio cars and sgts....on at least three different frequencies. Kind of like a fluid mess...they just wanted to get her to the hospital.
I would say these were the freqs used the most, and then the media frequencies which were a mess as well. The producer at KABC is a royal pain in the ***. Yelling "I want the shot that Channel 2 has right now!!!" to their helo pilot.
